In a night dedicated to influential jazz guitarist Grant Green, the Eric Doyle Sextet performs the landmark album Idle Moments in full. Defined by the atmosphere of its title track, Idle Moments is a quintessential hard bop recording, featuring compositions by Green and his contemporaries. The group will perform the album in full, as well as other defining pieces from Green's early career, recreating the soulful, bluesy, swinging sound that made Green a favourite of musicians and listeners alike.
