"France absolutely engage the body.. but the spectacle is one for your mind, especially as you start to wonder how much of what you’re hearing is really there" - The Quietus
Known for their immersive, trance-inducing live sets, the band creates a slow-burning physical and mental experience that bridges ancient folk textures with exploratory drone and krautrock cycles, in the spirit of Tony Conrad with Faust, driven by Gourdon’s explosive and highly volatile approach to the hurdy-gurdy. Their overarching creative mindset focuses on community, motion and unity through heavy, altered sonic states.
