Queering the Airwaves returns for 2026, exploring this year’s theme: Community.

A collaborative initiative between Dublin Digital Radio (ddr.) and éist, Queering the Airwaves platforms LGBTQ+ voices, artists, organisers and communities through a series of broadcasts airing across Dublin and Cork Pride.

To launch this year’s edition, join us for a daytime yard party at Flux Studios, Dublin 2. From 3PM–9PM, residents from ddr. and éist will soundtrack an afternoon of celebration and community.

Expect a gathering of friends, listeners, artists and dancers as we celebrate queer community on and off the dancefloor. Full lineup and more details to be announced soon.

All donations on the door will go to Switchboard. The Switchboard is Ireland’s longest running LGBTQ+ listening service. It is entirely volunteer run and is a helpline founded on principles of non-judgement, open mindedness and compassionate listening.

Dublin Digital Radio serves as an independent platform, providing an alternative media outlet for our communities. ddr. is wholly funded by its members, ensuring it remains independent of corporate influence and run democratically by its growing community.

éist is a volunteer-run internet radio collective based in Cork city, Ireland, dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and aiming to promote and support community-driven digital radio initiatives, encouraging the production and dissemination of a diverse variety of audio content, and fostering a sense of community among members through collaboration and shared projects.
