DESCRIPTION:Join us at Rua Red for a screening of Notes From Sheepland (202
	4)\, directed by\nCara Holmes.\n\nOrla Barry is a hard-working\, lipstick-
wearing sheep farmer in rural Wexford.\nShe is a self-confessed ovine addi
ct. A decade in sheep\, she’s still wondering\nwhat possessed her to start
but yet she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.\n\nOrla lived in Brussels
for 16 years and now lives and works in South East\nIreland where she runs
a flock of pedigree Lleyn sheep. Her work deals with the\ntensions of bei
ng an artist and an eco-farmer in rural Ireland. The sheep have\nslowed he
r art career but at the same\, caring for them has hugely inspired it.\nSh
e escapes the studio by going to the sheep\, escapes the sheep by hiding i
n her\nstudio.\n\nNotes From Sheepland follows Orla\, an outlier\, as she
floats between these\nworlds. It reflects upon the primal\, poetic and unp
redictable bond she has with\nthe natural world.\n\nRUARUM is a monthly fi
lm club that takes place at Rua Red. Our goal is to bring\nnew and excitin
g screenings to anyone who loves movies and cinema. After all\nscreenings\
, you are welcome to join us for a friendly chat to share your\nthoughts a
nd debrief together!\n\nThis screening forms part of Rua Red's Learning an
d Engagement programme for\nOrla Barry's exhibition The Collie\, The Chevi
	ot & the Crouched Skeleton\, which\nruns from 10 July—26 September at Rua
	Red.
