	n is conceived in response to the Carnsore Point anti-nuclear\nfestivals t
	hat took place in Wexford between 1978 and 1981. Organised by a\ncoalition
	 of groups\, the festivals were attended by thousands of people unified\nb
	y their shared opposition to what would have been Ireland’s first nuclear 
	power\nplant. This touring project features contributions from contemporar
	y artists and\nseveral individuals who were involved in organising the fes
	tival.\n\nThis informal event begins with a chaired discussion between per
	former Susie\nKennedy and musician Luka Bloom\, both of whom contributed t
	o the festivals. This\ndiscussion includes a screening of original footage
	 from the 1978 festival\nfilmed by Ken Lynam. The second part of the event
	 involves a contribution from\nAlanna O’Kelly who is presenting work in th
	e touring exhibition at Ormston\nHouse\, Wexford Arts Centre\, and Uillin:
	West Cork Arts Centre. This event\nincludes a sound screening of O’Kelly’s
	 seminal Chantdown Greenham Common.\n\nThe exhibition is open to the publi
	c both before and after the event at the\nBelltable.
